Hi Fighters,
Not all the feedback from WrestleFest Europe 2025 was easy for me to hear. I was made to understand how lucky I was that the 2025 attendees were well-mannered, healthy, and fit fighters. If one of you had shown up with a serious skin infection or suffered a medical emergency, I might very well be writing these words from a prison cell.
After consultations with legal experts and with Coach Philipp —whom I owe huge thanks for his feedback and know-how from years of participation in professional tournaments and BJJ events—we can no longer avoid mandatory registration and orientation going forward. This process is necessary to collect your consent and signatures for legal and liability reasons. In short: while some of you may playfully fool around on the mats, WrestleFest Europe is, at its core, a combat sports event. This is Germany, and I must follow European laws and regulations—and these rules exist for your protection as well.
For those of you who plan to spend the entire WrestleFest Europe at your hotel, enjoying private matches with fighters I brought to Berlin: WrestleFest Europe remains completely free for you. There is nothing you need to do—enjoy yourselves.
However, if you consider yourself a true fighter, I would greatly appreciate it if you stopped by Opening Night or any Fight Club open slot, at least to shake my hand and thank the volunteers. As a reward, you will receive your attendee badge for free, and you will also have the option to purchase a T-shirt. This is simply common courtesy. I fully respect everyone’s level of anonymity and privacy, but for sponsorship efforts and event statistics, you would be doing both me and WrestleFest Europe a favor by stepping out of the role of a “hotel ghost” and into that of a fighter with honor.
If you wish to take part in our official sub-events, you will need to purchase the Opening Night: Registration, Qualifications & Opening Party with Show ticket. Before completing the purchase, a mandatory check-in process will take place.

That’s that famous German bureaucracy, I am afraid. And now the rest as it was 2025. Here is a video recording from the online orientation last year that might help answer some of your questions. I will hold Online Zoom Meetings in January, February, and March to update you on the Tournament and other changes. And of course to be there for your questions, so that we again have a well organized and smooth running event full of great fights, fun and fondling… pardon me. 🙂 Bonding at a very special Opening Night.
Based on your feedback from the March 2025 orientation, I have hosted the final online orientation for you. In this recording, I’ll walk you through the event, the city, public transport, and answer any questions you may have.
