Combat Protocol of a Gentleman-Fighter
Yes, there is honor in combat sports.
- Bring your gear: Outfit, GI, boxing gloves, mouth guard (recommended).
- Introduce yourself and communicate clearly what you are into and what you expect.
- Agree on the style of combat: With punches or without, etc.
- Step onto the mat: Starting from the knees is recommended. Shake hands. GO!
- Don’t play the hero: Tap out before you choke out or break a leg!
- After the match — bow your head: Thank your opponent for a good fight.
- Yield the mat to the next pair of fighters.
Don’t forget this is mainly a sport event so, please bring the bare minimum and your gear.
No-Goes
Yes, we have to write it down:
- No K.O.! Absolutely no knockouts. (#BrainTrauma)
- No choking to oblivion! Absolutely no excessive choking. (#OxigenDeprivation)
- No odor! Take a shower and use deodorant. (#WannaFightYouNotTheSmell)
- No piercings! No metal in or on the body. (#EdwardScissorHandsFetish)
Guys, please understand that this is 50% wrestling and 50% show. These athletes have been trained to use their athletic abilities to put on a show. Unless you are a professional WWF wrestler who had such training, please don’t do the superman gig and kindly use the chairs for siting. Much appreciated.
